I believe the Wild Boar is one of the most under-rated trophies in North America. Unlike the deer, wild hogs are not in every state but can be hunted in many today. Texas has an estimated population of about 4 million.

The wild hog will eat anything they can find including "you". They can be very dangerous animals when being hunted. Just check out this guys tusks.

Notice that this is just a small boar.

Wild hogs are hunted in many different ways. Some places they are hunted with dogs and caught alive, shot, or killed by knives. Other hunters may choose to use stands, and still others like to stalk. Either way, they are a dangerous animal when wounded or cornered.
