Axis deer, fallow deer, red stag, black buck, aoudads,
and corsican rams are just some of the exotics available..
With the exception of a few species, there is probably more exotic game animals in the United
States than in Africa.
They seem to have adapted well in the southwestern parts of our great country. This
has come about by hard work, perserverence, and some quality game management by the ranchers that are raising them to hunt
and to replenish the stock back in the original countries.
For those that can't afford an African safari, you have the opportunity to take some of these
species in a real hunting situation and in somewhat like thier natural environment.
Many game ranches exist in the southwest today and are very affordable with excellent accommadations
available.
Most of these ranches also have white-tail deer and wild hogs running wild on the land, along
with turkey, and some javaliva.
